Luis Santos, raised in Paterson NJ, showcased exceptional leadership at Passaic County Technical Institute High School, leading the basketball team to consecutive state final appearances in 2003 and 2004, ultimately securing the state championship in 2004. His prowess extended to a county baseball championship, earning him the Tournament MVP title. Recognized as 1st team all-league, all-county, and all-state, Luis was named Northern Jersey Player of the Year for high school baseball in 2004.
Taking his talents to Puerto Rico, Luis excelled in AA baseball until an unfortunate arm injury altered his trajectory. Undeterred, he transitioned to professional basketball, being the 8th pick in the first round of the BSN league in 2006 with the Leones de Ponce. His career continued with the Gallitos de Isabela in 2011, culminating in his retirement. Embracing a new calling, Luis now dedicates his life to guiding, coaching, and mentoring the youth, inspired by his faith in Jesus Christ. Luis has coached basketball and baseball at the high school and collegiate level and is currently the head coach for the Bergen Metros in the ACBL Summer League.
